Plantation Shutters

Plantation louvers are 2 1/2" Or 3 1/2" in width, and support a maximum window opening measurement of 108" by 74" tall. The Plantation louver choice comes in the following panel configurations:

Any Height Over 48" Will Have At Least One Horiziontal

Divider Rail.

Single-Hung A single shutter set will cover the entire height of the window opening. For Plantation louvers, the tallest height available with no divider rail is 48". Longer Shutters up to 74" must have a horizontal mid-rail(Center Horizontal Divider Rail) halfway up the shutter for stability. This mid-rail comes built-in to the shutters when you receive them, and requires no additional installation.
Double-hung Two shutter sets will cover the entire height of the window opening, with one shutter set covering the bottom, and the other covering the top. You can specify the height of the bottom shutter set if you don't want the top and bottom shutters to be the exact same height. The top shutter set can be opened independently of the bottom one.
Cafe Style A single shutter set will cover only a portion of the window opening, usually one half to two thirds of the height of the window opening. Cafe style can be useful if you wish to place a fabric valance in front of the top section of the window.
